Primeval appears the plant with her gigantic sheets. The several metres high shaft carries a huge blossom. Only once she blossoms in her life, then it must die. Two hummingbirds suck nectar with long beaks from the blossoms. Their plumage shines metallically and her lightning flapping of wings hums in the chill highland air.
I was sitting in the high land of Chignahuapan and saw this scenery. I had the idea, that we have to move like a colibri to reach the honey. If not, we would fall down into the thorns.
